MILESTONES TO MILLIONS

The project aims to discover patterns of behavior and social support that contribute to the success of Black women who found or invest in high-growth ventures. Black women who operate in these business environments as an entrepreneur or investor or both are typically severely underrepresented. Milestone Growth Capital Institute hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how women successfully enter and navigate as founders and as angel investors in such environments and use this insight to inform programming and pathways.

EMERGENCE OF a black TECH ECOSYSTEM

This research aims to identify key insights for developing actionable strategic solutions and pathways that can contribute to Detroit’s future-making projects that are inclusive and equitable. This project is a unique opportunity to understand the dynamics of tech innovation within underrepresented communities while also contributing to initiatives that promote inclusivity and economic growth in the metro Detroit area.
